Growing Confidence

Growing Confidence

Lesson of the Week with Grace the Bee

Confidence doesn’t mean being the best or never feeling unsure.
Confidence means believing you can try.

Grace the Bee wants you to know that confidence grows a little at a time just like flowers in the garden. You don’t wake up confident all at once. It grows each time you practice, each time you try again, and each time you notice what you can do.

What Is Confidence?

Confidence is the feeling that says:

  • “I can try.”

  • “I’m learning.”

  • “I don’t have to be perfect.”

Confidence doesn’t mean you won’t make mistakes.
It means you keep going even when something feels hard.

Every time you try something new, your confidence gets a little stronger.

How Confidence Grows

Confidence grows when you:

  • Practice something again

  • Finish something you started

  • Try without knowing the outcome

  • Make a mistake and keep learning

  • Notice your effort

Even small tries help confidence grow.

Grace’s Gentle Reminder

You don’t need to compare yourself to others.
You don’t need to rush.

Confidence grows when you believe in your effort not just the result.

Try This Today

Take a moment to ask yourself:

  • What is something I’m learning?

  • What is something I can do now that I couldn’t do before?

Smile when you think of your answer.
That’s confidence growing.

For Parents & Caregivers

You can help confidence grow by:

  • Praising effort instead of perfection

  • Saying:

    • “You’re learning.”

    • “I see how hard you tried.”

    • “Look how far you’ve come.”

  • Letting kids try on their own even when it’s hard

Your encouragement helps confidence bloom.

Grace says:

My confidence grows every time I try.
