My confidence grows when I notice what makes me special

Confidence grows when we notice what we can do.

Today, Grace the Bee invites you to slow down, color, and celebrate your strengths with a special confidence flower craft.

Creating something with your hands is a gentle way to build confidence and writing kind words about yourself helps those feelings grow even stronger.

Today’s Creative Activity: My Confidence Flower

For today’s Creative Corner, you’ll need:

  • A flower coloring page

  • Crayons, markers, or colored pencils

  • A quiet, cozy place to create

Each petal on the flower is a place to celebrate you.

What to Write on the Petals

As you color, write one confidence-growing thought on each petal.

Ideas include:

  • Something you’re good at

  • Something you’re learning

  • Something you’re proud of

  • Something you tried this week

  • A kind word about yourself

There’s no right or wrong answer.

If writing feels hard, drawing or dictating to an adult counts too.

Why This Helps Confidence Grow

This activity helps you:

  • Notice your strengths

  • Practice positive self-talk

  • Feel proud of your effort

  • See confidence as something that grows

Just like flowers, confidence grows best when it’s cared for gently.

Grace’s Creative Rule

You don’t have to fill every petal.
You don’t have to spell everything perfectly.
You don’t have to share unless you want to.

Trying is what makes this brave.

When You’re Finished

Take a moment to look at your flower.

  • How does it make you feel?

  • Which petal makes you smile the most?

You can hang it up, put it in a journal, or keep it somewhere special.

 For Parents & Caregivers

You can support this activity by:

  • Helping kids find words if needed

  • Writing for younger children as they dictate

  • Asking gentle questions like:

    • “Tell me about this petal.”

    • “Which one makes you feel proud?”

    • “What would you like to add next time?”

Grace says:  My confidence grows when I notice what makes me special.
